In mainstream hotel rating systems, carpets do not have a separate "fixed score."

In mainstream international rating systems, carpets are not assigned a separate "fixed score." Instead, they are embedded in the floor/guest room/public area rating system, scored based on material, full coverage, quality, and maintenance.
I. Hotelstars Union (Europe) (Valid in 21 countries)
- Total Score: 900 points
- Carpet/Floor Weighting:
- Guest Rooms (295 points, 33%): Full coverage of high-end flooring materials (carpet/solid wood/stone) is mandatory, accounting for 10–15 points.
- Public Areas (225 points, 25%): Full coverage of carpeting in corridors/high-end nylon/wool carpets, accounting for 8–12 points.
- Lobby/Banquet Hall: No mandatory carpeting, but floor quality and maintenance are factored into the score.
- Total: Approximately 18–27 points (2%–3%), four-star/five-star hotels must have full coverage of carpeting, free of stains, high density, and flame retardant.

II. US AAA Diamond Rating (North American Mainstream)
- No publicly available precise score; flooring materials/carpets are a core element of "hardware quality."
- Five Diamonds: Full coverage of high-density, thick pile carpeting in guest rooms/corridors is mandatory; material, craftsmanship, and maintenance directly affect the rating.
- Weighting: Approximately 3%–5%, a mandatory threshold for five-star hotels

III. Middle East (UAE/Dubai)
- Total Score: 900 points
- Guest Room Flooring: High-grade thick plush carpet/premium wood flooring, 20 points (meets/does not meet standard)
- Public Area Corridors: Full carpet coverage, 10–15 points
- Total: Approximately 30–35 points (3%–4%)

IV. One-Sentence Conclusion
- Carpeting is not a "separate scoring item," but a core scoring point for floors/guest rooms/public areas
- Global mainstream: Accounts for 2%–5% of the total score (approximately 18–45 points)
- Four-star/Five-star: Must have full carpet coverage, high density, flame retardant, and stain-free; otherwise, points will be deducted or the hotel will fail to meet the standard.
